Rollercoaster

Duration: 1.5 hours

Participants: 10 to 200 pax

Objectives: Innovation & Pushing the Flywheel. 10% stretch.

Overview: Participants will design a track that will keep a marble moving for a minimum of 30 seconds. They can only use the materials provided.

Learning Outcome: We must innovate to constantly improve but improvement doesn’t have to be overnight. Make small changes constantly for success. Pushing the flywheel. The 10% stretch.

Stargate.HEIC

StarGate

Duration: 1 Hour

Participants: 30 to 150 pax

Objectives: Dealing with uncertainty

Overview: Participants are blindfolded and told that they are marooned on a completely dark planet with no light. They have to build a square structure out of something provided.

Learning Outcome: Uncertainty is normal in today’s business world. At different times, everyone needs to be a leader, but also paradoxically a follower.

Corporate Athlete.HEIC

Corporate Athlete

Duration: 1 Hour

Participants: Unlimited

Objectives: Assess your health and wellness levels and learn the lifestyle principles to become a Corporate Athlete

Overview: Participants will conduct a 32 question self-assessment

Learning Outcome: To understand where you are from a health and wellness perspective and learn how to sustain high physical and emotional strength whilst maintaining sharp intellect.

airplane contract.HEIC

Airplane Contract

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Participants: 10 to 100

Objectives: Improve quality performance with a service mindset

Overview: Teams are airplane manufacturers bidding for a new high profit account. They must design and build a plane to very specific customer criteria.

Learning Outcome: Improve quality by having a service mindset and understand who you serve. Quality information is critical to make quality decisions.

Great Escape.HEIC

The Great Escape

Duration: 1 Hour

Participants: 10 to 200

Objectives: Raising productivity. Individual roles but one goal. Stockdale Paradox.

Overview: Teams must complete tasks to earn raw materials. With these they must construct a track that will allow them to successfully navigate  a specially designed course.

Learning Outcome: To understand that things will go wrong. Adopt the Stockdale Paradox mindset. Go the extra mile to succeed.

Popsicle Kinetic STicks.HEIC

Popsicle Stick

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Participants: 10 - 500

Objectives: Pushing capability boundaries. Coming together to achieve great things. The whole is always greater than the individual piece.

Overview: Participants are provided a bag of popsicle sticks and shown how to fit them together to form a track. When released these sticks jump into the air in a domino type effect. Individuals can create a track about a metre long. However when they start to join with their colleagues, they create a track that will encompass the room.

Learning Outcome: Individuals can only achieve so much. By working as a team we can achieve greatness. The module very clearly shows participants how they moved from a high state of confusion, to individual understanding to working as a team to achieve a collective vision.

Helium Stick.HEIC

Helium Stick

Duration: 45 minutes

Participants: 5 to 500

Objectives: To understand and learn enhanced communication techniques

Overview: Participants are to hold a light weight (helium stick) by only using their index finger. Participants are not allowed to pinch or hold the stick, the stick can only rest on their index fingers. The objective is to lower the helium stick to the floor whilst maintaining contact to the stick at all times. The stick will however mysteriously float.

Learning Outcome: Learn to communicate and solve problems as a team by firstly finding out why the stick is rising - root cause analysis. Then teams have to study the problem and communicate without fear of position and interest to ensure that the desired result is obtained. They learn 3 key NLP communication rules.

Discovery Race.HEIC

Discovery Race

Duration: 2 Hours

Participants: 10 - 300

Objectives: The 10 Pillars to building an empowered environment

Overview: Teams must first solve a pictorial clue. This will lead them to their first roadblock where they will have to complete a physical or mental task. Then on to their next clue. The first team to complete all clues and all tasks win.

Learning Outcome: They will understand that there are 10 basic pillars required to create an empowered environment and automatically during the race they put these in place. They will be given the tools to take this lesson back to the workplace and implement the same there.

Sector 35.HEIC

Sector 35

Duration: 1.5 – 2 Hours

Participants: 10 - 70

Objectives: Understand that change is the only constant in todays business world

Overview: Sector 35 is a board game similar to monopoly. Teams must move across a board. They must move from the drop point to sector 35. At the start they will be given a set amount of money to purchase rations, med kits and ammunition and they must deal with changing weather patterns, different terrains and terrorist attacks.

Learning Outcome: No matter how much planning you do, things will inherently go wrong. We must adapt and problem solve to survive. Understand change is the only constant and adopt the Stockdale Paradox mindset. Kubler Ross change curve.

Good to Great.HEIC

Good To Great

Duration: 2 hours

Participants: 10 to 120

Objectives: Trust and Accountability. Patrick Lencioni’s 5 Dysfunctions of a Team.

Overview: Teams will rotate between 3 stations. At each station they will have 30 minutes to complete a specific task. The tasks are designed to ensure that all participants have to actively perform their role in order to succeed.

Learning Outcome: Patrick Lencioni wrote about the five basic dysfunctions that can be found in all companies. Participants will understand through completing the tasks how important it is to overcome these dysfunctions. They will be provided specific tools so when they return to the work-place they can overcome them.

Mini Olympics.HEIC

Mini Olympics

Duration: 1 hour

Participants: 10 to 250

Objectives: Have fun

Overview: Teams will nominate a representative to compete ‘head to head’ in a series of mini competitive activities.

Learning Outcome: After dinner Fun

Samurai.HEIC

Samurai Warrior

Duration: 1.5 hours

Participants: 10 to 40

Objectives: Shared Discipline, Determination and Dedication

Overview: Participants duel in non-contact competition in a simulated samurai dojo arena that will test their mental and physical strengths.

Learning Outcome: Understand the power of having and following a strict code of conduct, having a strong will and supporting your team members.

Saboteur1.HEIC

The Saboteur

Duration: 1.5 Hours

Participants: 10 - 300

Objectives: Building Relationships and Trust. A cornerstone of Empowered teams

Overview: Participants have to complete an incomplete maze. However there are Saboteurs in the group. To be successful, they must also identify these.

Learning Outcome: Communicate effectively by paying attention to building relationships and improving trust. Understand that your perception is often someone’s truth. Use the Johari Window to expand your open area to colleagues.

Participants: 10 - 300

Objectives: Communicate and have Fun!

Overview: Teams must transport water from point A to point B. They can only use the tube provided. The problem is that it is open-ended.

Learning Outcome: Have Fun!

Double Down.HEIC

Double Down

Duration: 1 Hour

Participants: 10 - 40

Objectives: Building Relationships and Trust. A cornerstone of Empowered teams

Learning Outcome: Communicate effectively by paying attention to building relationships and improving trust. Understand that perception is often someone’s truth. Use the Johari Window to expand your open area to colleagues.

Newspaper Bridge.HEIC

Newspaper bridge

Duration: 2 Hours

Participants: 10 - 150

Objectives: Improve quality performance with a service mindset

Overview: Teams represent engineering companies bidding for a tender. The job scope is to construct a bridge. They must build a mock-up that is an exact representation of the customers specs. However these are continually updated. Teams will be spread around the room constructing different parts of the bridge so communication is critical.

Learning Outcome: Improve quality by having a service mindset and understand who you serve. Quality information is critical to make quality decisions.

Join the Picture.HEIC

Join the picture

Duration: 1.5Hours

Participants: 10 - 100

Objectives: Coming Together as One to create something special

Overview: Teams must each design a part of a greater picture. They must liaise closely and be in total synchronization with each other to ensure that all elements of their individual picture fit with the elements drawn by their colleagues. 

Learning Outcome: Communication is critical to success. To ensure participants realise that coming together as one will always lead to greater results than working in isolation.
