Personality Plus & Emotional Intelligence

Bringing a team together begins when team members understand themselves and better understand the people that they work with.

 

Our programme covers 5 main areas:

 

  1. As individuals how we deal with stressful situations and how we can control our energy levels using basic NLP tools to better deal with these situations.

  2. Our Preferred Representational System – The test allows participants to understand how they process the world around them. It allows participants to identify their own and also the primary representational system of those around them. This information allows participants to identify and tap into a person’s preferences and develop an effective way of communicating and building strong rapport.

  3. Personality Plus - Participants use a Profile tool to understand their personality traits and the behaviors associated with different personality types. They learn their personality type and understand their preferences and strengths and weaknesses of their profile. The tool will highlight the differences through experiential exercises of the four preference pairs and enable participants to understand their own personality typology preference which in turn increases their self-awareness.

  4. Participants will focus on how they and their team members prefer to take in and prioritize information and then analyze their own communication style and explore its impact on others.

  5. Emotional Intelligence – building on the participants knowledge of key personality traits, the course then provides the building blocks to understand the four domains of Emotional Intelligence to relieve stress from an environment, diffuse conflict, empathise and communicate effectively:

    1. Self awareness

    2. Self Management

    3. Social Awareness

    4. Relationship management

  6. Embedded Belief System – Participants will explore key pillars of their belief systems and see that making small adjustments to the ways that they process situations and information, can lead to dramatically more positive results.

Programme Structure 

Duration: 1 day

Participants: 25 pax

Objectives: Better Understand our personality types and those that we interact with and use this to knowledge to build a detailed map of how to best use Emotional Intelligence to deal with all high stress situations.

Overview: Participants complete three self-assessments:

  1. Preferred Representational System

  2. Personality Plus

  3. Embedded Belief System

Learning Outcome

By the completion of the Personality Plus and Emotional Intelligence Programme, Participants will:

  • Understand how they take on and process information flows from the world around them

  • Understand their personality profile and the specific traits associated with them

  • Understand the other personality profiles of their teammates and the specific traits of these personalities

  • Understand how to better deal and communicate with other personalities types in the team

  • Understand what Emotional Intelligence really means and how using it effectively, brings positive results to all high emotion / stress situations.

  • Understand that we all have a belief system (non-religious) embedded in our personalities. These can be adjusted and matured to allow better outcomes from our process of interpreting information.
